Ocean Sunrise is Saint Augustine’s premiere condominium complex. With complete north to south views of the ocean,
a beautiful, quiet pool area, expansive oceanside decks, and access to both the beaches and great Florida bars and restaurants,
Ocean Sunrise is a great community to spend some time and relax to a unique, frienly Florida vibe.
A Small Community
Ocean Sunrise is a small community of thirty (30) units. There is not a lot of turnover and most often, only about half of residents are present.
Quiet and Peaceful
The condo itself is very quiet and peaceful. People do on occasion have get togethers where you might hear other residents socializing or having fun, but it’s definitely NOT a party condo. It’s a community, and generally everyone is respectful of one another.
Monthly Rentals Only
Ocean Sunrise only allows monthly rentals, to prevent constant, intrusive and distracting weekly turnovers. Generally, you almost never see people coming in or coming out, and once you get settled, you’ll be ready to head to the beach!
Clean & Well-Maintained
The Ocean Sunrise homeowners’ association was pursuing an aggressive maintenance and structural analysis well prior to the Miami condo collapse. The building itself is in great shape. Our condo is very well maintained, well-equipped, and very clean.
Availability, Seasons, and Rates Generally
General Availability
We do not have complete month-to-month availability. We use our home, and it is generally available in November, December, January, March, April and through the summer season.
Rentals are limited to six people. We do NOT recommend small children, due to the nature of a high unit with balconies.
Best Time in Saint Augustine
There really is not a bad time to be in Saint Augustine. Winters are cool, but you can get warm, 70 degree days year-round. It’s always a bit cooler at the ocean, but that means in the summer, it’s very comfortable at the beach. We’ve been in Saint Augustine year-round, and although summers are definitely hotter, you can lounge all day in the ocean to cool off and then spend the rest of the day in the pool.
Rental Period
We are required to rent by the month and therefore, rentals are for a minimum of 30 days. We currently use Coastal Realty as our rental agent, and we can put you in touch with them. We are working on direct rentals for those that feel more comfortable renting directly; however, there are tax and insurance implications to doing so, and therefore we currently work with a rental agent.
Rates Generally
Monthly rentals tend to be $5,000 – $8,000 / month, depending on the season. Nightly, this is anywhere from $166/night to $266/night. Given the amenities, views, space, and overall access to the beach and the rest of what Saint Augustine has to offer, our home is an incredible value for a peaceful getaway.
